PACK 115 |

Join the Cub Scouts
Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped boys younger than Boy Scout age though Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program for boys in the first grade through fifth grade. We need parents, leaders, and organizations to work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Cub Scouting is designed to develop character, teach good citizenship and learn respectful relationships through personal achievement and fun adventures such as sportsmanship and fitness.
Membership
Boys join our Cub Scout Pack 115 of the Baltimore Area Council and are assigned to a den, usually a group of six to eight boys. Our Pack currently has over 70 cub scouts. Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second-graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third-graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth- and fifth-graders) meet with their own den. Then, on the third Tuesday of each month, all of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of our Cubmaster at the Crofton Woods Elementary School. Please reference the “contact us” page of our website CroftonPack115.org and email the membership chairperson if you would like to join.
Volunteers
The whole Pack wouldn’t run without the help of volunteer leaders, both men and women to serve in a variety of positions, as everything from den leaders to pack committee chairmen and committee members. We still have volunteer positions to fill! Please check out the “contact us” page and see if there is anything you can do to help the Pack.
Costs
There are nominal annual dues of $45 for the Cub Scouts. In addition, for $10 additional, the boys can subscribe to Boys’ Life, which is the official magazine of the cub scouts. The Pack participates in Popcorn Sales in the fall which raises additional funds to underwrite some of the activities planned by the Pack. In addition, the scouts are encouraged to pay their own way for certain camping adventures.
Advancement
Recognition is important to young boys. The Cub Scout pack is fun for the boys and also gives them a sense of personal achievement as they earn badges working with their family on projects.

Webelos. This program is for boys who have completed third grade. A Weblos may begin working on the Webelos badge as soon as he joins a Webelos den. As he completes the Webelos requirements by working on activity badges this leads to the Arrow of Light Award. |

Camping
Bringing the scouts to the great outdoors by camping programs packed with theme-oriented action is a focus of scouting. Day camps and overnight camps bring a world of adventure and excitement to the boys. Generally these camps are planned with actual theme structures of castles, forts, ships, and are at local council approved campsites. Camping programs combine fun and excitement with doing one's best, getting along with others, and developing an appreciation for ecology and the world of the outdoors.
CUB SCOUT PROMISE: I, (say your name), promise to do my best to do my duty to God and my country to help other people, and to obey the law of the pack.
